EPISODE 5: Water Mafia Gang

Not long after Vlad's arrival, the grand city of Atlaspolis was struck by a rather peculiar crisis a sewer blockage.
As the intolerable smell of sewage infiltrated the city's bustling streets, its disgruntled citizens gathered in front of the mayor's office in protest. The unpleasant problem left the mayor and his council scratching their heads.
.
They couldn't find the source of the blockage,
and Atlaspolis' sewage system was state of the art and had never had any issues before. The longer the situation went on, the deeper the city fell into chaos.
.
Citizens rioted in the streets. Businesses closed in fear of looting. The constant, widespread protests disrupted air travel, which meant Vlad and his team of fellow bounty hunters were effectively grounded.
.
A few days into the crisis, the mayor's office received a ransom note stating that the sewage system would be returned to its normal state in exchange for $1,000,000,000. It was signed by the Water Mafia Gang, a secretive organization that many believed to only be a myth.
.
According to city records, the Water Mafia Gang were responsible for designing and developing Atlaspolis' sewage system during the city's infancy. However, soon after they completed the project, they vanished without a trace.
.
Desperate and confused, the mayor reached out to General Ivan and his bounty hunters to help find the culprits. Initially, the General was reluctant to deal with a situation involving filthy sewage, but he decided that the mayor's reward was too good to pass up. Vlad and his team immediately got to work on finding out everything that they could about the Water Mafia Gang.
.
After a long, arduous day of research that bore no fruit, they decided to take a break and stop by a nearby fast food restaurant.
.
After downing many cans of his favourite soft drink, Slick Soda, Vlad used the restaurant's toilet and his perceptive eye caught something peculiar as he flushed - the water in the toilet bowl swirled in the opposite direction than it normally did. Sensing that this discovery must have somehow been connected to the sewage problem, he informed his team and they quickly returned to their headquarters with a plan.
.
Vlad built x-ray devices and headed out with his team, where they scanned the city's gutters. They were astonished to find thousands of tiny creatures traveling within the pipes, marching along like ants. Vlad used another of his brilliant inventions, a shrinking laser gun, to shrink himself and his team down so that they could enter the pipes and investigate.
.
They followed the creatures through the complex network to a miniature city. In the middle of this city was a huge, powerful whirlpool, which Vlad concluded must have been affecting the way Atlaspolis' pipes had been running.
.
They soon found out that this secret civilization was built and inhabited by the Water Mafia Gang, who wanted to live a peaceful, quiet existence away from the surface.
.
Vlad and his team were brought to their leader, who explained to them that their city was being destroyed by the rubbish and harmful waste that the citizens of Atlaspolis were throwing down the drain everyday. To save their home, the Water Mafia Gang decided to take matters into their own hands and created a whirlpool that disrupted the flow of the pipe system to prevent Atlaspolis' sewer water from reaching them.
.
Vlad offered to help build a protective shield wall around the city to protect it from
Atlaspolis' sewage and assured him that the mayor of Atlaspolis would run a program to
educate the public about responsible waste disposal, in exchange for his word that the
Water Mafia Gang would not tamper with the sewer system again.
.
After some consideration, the leader agreed to his terms, and turned off the machine that controlled the whirlpool.
.
When Vlad returned to Atlaspolis, he was given a hero's welcome by the city and the mayor, who more than happily handed over his reward money.
.
Galvanised by his triumph, Vlad moved onto his next adventure...
